Breeding Rules

Breeding Info/Rules     Please be sure to read and abide by the following rules.  Breeding is free, but you MUST comply with the rules.

Also, please note that new horses are added frequently, so if you can't find what you're looking for now, be sure to bookmark this site  to find out when new additions join the herd.

1. When you have found the perfect sire or dam for your foal, send me an email. I will get back to you in less than 24 hours.

2. You must fill out the form IN FULL then put it in the "Breeding Form", or email me at [email protected] or the breeding will NOT count. All breedings will be accepted as long as there are no problems with the foal's information (in which case I will contact you so you can change it). In most cases, I will be pretty lenient in regards to errors in the form and will let you know so you can fix them. Feel free to ask any questions, too.

3. I will check any breedings with the Coat Color Calculator.  I will accept the breeding if the color of your foal is a possible result of the parents.

4. Foal must also be named with "show names" or "registered names" like real horses are. Please no names such as Buddy or Cocoa (those can be parts of their names, but please try to make them realistic). You do not have to include parts of the sire or dam's name in the foal's name (please don't put RCA as a prefix either, that is for my horses only, unless those are your barn initials, too). You also do not have to follow breed naming rules, that is up to you.

5. Mares and stallions may have foals when they are 3.

6. You choose the year you want your foal to be born on the request form. If that year is already taken, I will let you know and you can pick an alternate year. Also, let me know if your foal will be aging or non-aging.

7. Twins are possible, yet rare. If you wish to have twins, you will need to fill out the form two times, once for each foal. Include a memo that they are twins.

8. No inbreeding. Horses may not be bred to their parents, siblings, or grandparents. If you are not sure if two horses are closely related, send me an email and I will check for you.

9. Mares can have only 1 foal per year. See Rule 6

10. Stallions can have an unlimited number of foals per year.

11.You may NOT use any of my horses without my written permission!

12. You may NOT take or use the pictures of my models without my permission.

13. Rose Creek Acres horses are non-aging. I accept both aging and non-aging foals.
